What is a template?

A template is an exact replica of your counter tops and backsplash that is accurate enough to cut stone from. Traditional templates are made from thin strips of wood, which are glued together. Wooden templates give an exact cutting guide job, and they also allow for checking clearances at walls and passage through doors, hallways and stairways . Recently, we have begun making digital templates with a portable computer and measuring device that enables our accuracy to be even greater.
